Chesterfield Foundation Artifact Donations

Artifact acceptance is determined by the Chesterfield Foundation Artifact Curator. If you have an item (circa 1820-1920) that you believe will benefit Chesterfield, please fill out the form below or contact us via email or phone.

    Deed Of gift

    I certify that I do have legal ownership of the property described below, and do hereby give and donate to the Chesterfield Foundation said property described below as an unrestricted gift. Though reasonable efforts will be made to display donated property, all donations become the Chesterfield Foundation's property and will be used at the Chesterfield Foundation's sole discretion.  

    I understand that it is the purpose of the Chesterfield Foundation to promote by all appropriate means a knowledge of and appreciation for the achievements of the pioneers and to promote the recording of their history.

    I further understand that the management, conservation, use or display of my donation shall be in accordance with the By-Laws of the Chesterfield Foundation. I understand that this property so described can not be returned upon request or demand. I also understand that this property so described can never be removed from the town site, even for a short time, by anyone other than the Chesterfield Foundation executive board or the Chesterfield Foundation Artifact Curator. If the donated property is later found to not be historically correct or fit the By-Laws, it is only then that the Chesterfield Foundation executive board or the Chesterfield Foundation Artifact Curator may attempt to return the property or sell and use the funds as a donation to further the mission of the Chesterfield Foundation.
